About us
In 2010 Hotelschool The Hague has founded a university-wide research Centre. This Centre encourages interdisciplinary research with a strong practice-oriented focus, and (inter)national collaborative dimensions. The Centre is anticipated to become a major driver of the integration of programmed research, innovations in industry practice, and the educational programme.
Vision
To create a world-class knowledge exchange community where research, practice and education interact to put new knowledge discovery into practice for the benefit of the advancement, innovation, and excellence of the international hospitality profession, its products, services and education.
Mission
We conduct research with the goal to discover, exchange, apply and disseminate knowledge at the highest academic level that meets the needs of the international hospitality business, research and educational community. We strive to be recognised as one of the top European hospitality management research centres by 2015. This reputation will be based on our capability to timely address key emergent industry challenges, to overcome research barriers that prevent industry collaboration with academia, and to translate research findings into significant prescriptive action for hospitality management practice. We will seek close and international co-operation with the international hospitality industry, and academia in the field of international hospitality management research. We will be committed to forging strong links with professional associations, societies, organisations, and educational councils concerned with hospitality management practice.
