Professional and Academic Experience
Dr. Daphne Maria Dekker is Professor of Hospitality, Personality & Behaviour at Hotelschool The Hague. In addition, she is a faculty member at Radboud University Nijmegen, both in the Nijmegen School of Management and the Faculty of Social Sciences. She received a Ph.D. in Organisational Psychology from Eindhoven University of Technology (NL), a M.Sc. in Organisation and Social Psychology from Utrecht University (NL) in addition she also studied criminal behaviour at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). She was a faculty member of Radboud University Nijmegen, Faculty of Psychology and Nijmengen School of Management, before moving to The Hague. Dr. Dekker has published widely, including peer reviewed journals, co-authoring textbooks and contributing to various international texts.
Research Interests
Professor Dekker is an expert in organizational psychology. Her interest includes hospitality, personality, virtual teams, media psychology, Cultural differences, Behaviour, Training, Organizational Development, Human Performance Management, HR, Social and Organizational Psychology, Group Processes.
