Fine-dining restaurant Le Début is situated in the same building as the Skotel, Jan Evertsenstraat in Amsterdam, which is a good location for having dinner or drinks with family and friends, or colleagues. When the weather is warm enough it is possible to enjoy your meal outside on the large terrace.

Le Début was introduced as a real-life practice situation for students of the school. Students following practical lessons work in the kitchen as well as in the restaurant itself to learn from and experience actual situations. Students learn to solve problems and use feedback for their theoretical modules, for the Training Management Skills (TMS) module, for example.  

First-year students following practical lessons perform the basic skills, while the students of the second/third year fulfil the role of leader and actually manage the restaurant under the supervision of an instructor of the school.
