At both the Amsterdam branch as well as at the branch in The Hague, there is a restaurant where students and employees can have lunch during the day.
In The Hague, this restaurant has been set up according to the concept of La Place restaurants as developed by the V&D departement store.
These restaurants fulfil a double function: in addition to the obvious restaurant service they provide, they also offer a real life practical situation for students of the school. Students following practical lessons work in the restaurants to learn from and experience actual situations. Students learn to solve problems and use feedback for their theoretical modules, the Training Management Skills (TMS) module, for example.
First year students following practical lessons perform basic skills, while the students in the second and third years fulfil the leadership role and actually manage the restaurant under supervision of an instructor of the school.
