The profile of a Managment Placement:

• Is a placement at ‘assistant to’ level;
• Must be at a hospitality-related company;
• Duration of minimal 19 weeks;
• Must be at an operational or supporting department;
• Is and can be fulfilled anywhere in the world;
• Is the last part of the Bachelor and IFT programmes; often leading to a job offer with the company.

Goals of the Management Placement

The objective is to give the student the opportunity to develop his professional competences in practice, under the guidance of the Hotelschool and the placement company. At the end of the placement it is our aim that a student is capable of working as an (assistant) manager.

At the end of the placement, the student is able to:

• Think as a junior manager at operational, tactical and strategic level;
• Fulfil the roll of internal advisor to management, in his/her position of (assistant) manager;
• Evaluate his/her personal functioning.
