Selection Procedure

The selection procedure consists of four stages

  • Stage 1: Your cover letter and CV are evaluated on the basis of the job description
  • Stage 2: You are invited for a general interview with the manager and the Human Resource Advisor
  • Stage 3: After following a successful interview, you will have a second interview with prospective colleagues
  • Stage 4: You will have an interview with a member of the Board of Directors concerning the mission, goals, and code of conduct of the Hotelschool

In addition to the above, the selection procedure includes a reference check and an oral English test. For the position of lecturer a test lecture is also part of the procedure. Finally, the terms of employment will be discussed in an interview with the manager.

During the Selection Procedure Hotelschool The Hague applies The NVP Recruitment Code. This code contains the basic rules that, in the opinion of the Dutch Association for Personnel Management and Organisational Development (NVP), should be observed during the recruitment and selection process. The purpose of the code is to provide a standard for a transparent and fair recruitment and selection procedure. More information about this code can be found at www.nvp-plaza.nl
