Faculty Positions at Hotelschool The Hague, where you assist students in solving business issues in the Hospitality Industry

 

Organisation

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of about 20 faculty members working in various subject areas. The school community is about 40 percent international. Because of the international character of the institute, the official language is both English and Dutch. Hotelschool The Hague has a very good reputation, built up over nearly 80 years in existence. The faculty enhances this reputation by focusing on its quality lecturing, and, therefore, will be a challenge for you.

 

General function description

You are able to develop and teach courses that are closely linked to real-life hospitality management practice. You perform teaching responsibilities in a professional manner, encouraging both students and colleagues to achieve excellence, whilst being an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute to the school’s success. You set the example to approaching business problems in a multidisciplinary way, reinforced through roles as expert and coach in a dynamic, and international academic environment.

 

Candidate profile:

• Demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following areas: yield & revenue management, quality management, quality auditing, e-marketing, online sales, e-distribution, cross-cultural management, strategic management, entrepreneurship.

• An academic degree at Master’s or Ph.D. level

• A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience, preferably in an international business environment.

• A great degree of affinity with higher education or the hospitality industry.

• Good verbal and written command of English.

• Excellent social skills, an independent ability to work, and a proactive attitude to solve problems.

• Insight and knowledge of current affairs and developments in (hospitality) management.

• You have an apparent enthusiasm and skill for education that puts an emphasis on coaching students to deal with real-life professional assignments.

 

 

Remuneration

Depending on your work experience and qualifications your salary will be in line with the sector’s collective agreement (CAO-HBO) on function level 10 or 11 with a gross salary maximum of € 4,345 per month. In addition, Hotelschool The Hague offers a complete package of fringe benefits.
