Nat Asamoah — Class of 2020
Entrepreneur & Global Builder | Ghana, UK & NL
“Good morning in your world. Good evening in mine.”
That’s how Nat opens, checking in from Chicago, the eighth country he’s visited this year on a mission to expand Pulumi, a North American tech company founded by Eric Rudder, former chief strategy officer and advisor to Bill Gates. “He’s tasked me with building the European entity, which has me traveling across the globe.”
But Nat wears more than one hat. Back home in Ghana, he runs a student hotel housing 130 tenants, and is now launching an F&B concept focused on clean, healthy, and affordable meals for his residents.
His first job after Hotelschool was with Too Good To Go in London, growing their restaurant network, as a true critical thinker he decided that there are more types of businesses that are battling food waste. “I convinced a wholesale cake warehouse to join the app. We rescued over 10,000 cakes.”
“Treat your network as your net worth."

What were your biggest career highlights so far?
Two moments stand out.
- One: Brokering a deal in Amman, Jordan, between several U .S. companies, Pulumi and the Arab Bank, the largest bank in the Middle East.
- Two: “With the other hat, I'd say the biggest career highlight was housing my 100th tenant. I know it's an arbitrary number, but it felt really damn good.”
What is your biggest takeaway from Hotelschool The Hague?
“One key thing I learned at hotelschool is to not underestimate anybody because anybody can one day become somebody you may need to rely on, somebody that you may want to talk with, somebody that may know somebody that you want to know.”
What advice would you give to current students?
“Treat your network as your net worth. Build relationships, say good morning, send the LinkedIn messages, wish someone a happy birthday, because ultimately that is where your biggest value lies - it’s all about relationships."
