Hotelschool The Hague celebrates its 92nd anniversary
We are proud to add yet another milestone to our timeline: our 92nd anniversary. Exactly on this day, on 11 November 1929, Hotelschool The Hague opened its doors at Hotel Mathilde Maria on the Gevers Deynootweg in Scheveningen. HTH was founded and funded by the hospitality industry in order to create a hub where industry partners could gain and share new insights, skills, and knowledge. We have decided to celebrate our anniversary with the after movie from the official opening of our fully renovated campus in The Hague.
The mayor of The Hague Mr van Zanen, along with Regine von Stieglitz, President of the Board of Directors of Hotelschool The Hague, and Hans Meyer, Co-founder and Managing Director of Zoku Hotels, were present at the official opening of our newly renovated campus in The Hague!
What do they have to say about the new campus in The Hague?
Mayor of The Hague, Mr. Jan van Zanen: “The school’s ambitions align with the city’s ambitions. An international institute for hotel management is indispensable in a city like The Hague. The city of The Hague is the royal residence, the seat of government, a knowledge hub, and a place where many international institutions are based. The Municipality of The Hague appreciates the attraction of international students from all over the world which contributes to the aspiration of The Hague to be a hospitable and inclusive city."
Hans Meyer, Co-founder and Managing Director of Zoku Hotels: “As an alumnus of Hotelschool The Hague I learned a lot here, and HTH plays a very important role in my life. Growth is crucial for the industry and for Hotelschool The Hague as well. We, as an industry, need your expertise. If this school and its curriculum would remain stationary, it would go backward. This new and amazing sustainable building reflects growth."
Regine von Stieglitz, President of the Board of Directors of Hotelschool The Hague: “This huge renovation project encompasses the future goals and ambitions of Hotelschool The Hague. We want to be a leading institute in hospitality education and contribute to a sustainable mindset within the Hotelschool community. Students will continue their journey at the Hotelschool in an inspiring environment, developing into sought-after hospitality graduates. This new campus reflects the level and impact of our commitment to the hospitality industry’s future leaders."
We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone and creating hospitable futures together!
