Keuzegids HBO 2020: Hotelschool The Hague best hotel school in the Netherlands

A big shout out to all! Hotelschool The Hague has been ranked the best hotel school in the Netherlands and for the sixth consecutive year the best public hotel school.

Today, Keuzegids HBO 2020 published the results of their annual survey. For the second consecutive year, Hotelschool The Hague has been ranked the best hotel school in the Netherlands; with both campuses (Amsterdam 92/100 and The Hague 88/100) it scores a place in the top three. The Amsterdam Campus shares the number one position with TIO, the private hotel school in the Netherlands.

In general, the category of higher hotel education is very well assessed. Hotelschool The Hague distinguishes itself by offering a significant and student-centered learning environment. The school delivers a unique combination of theory, practice and research in its educational programmes. This combination aims to stimulate students to develop three quotients – IQ, EQ and AQ: foundational knowledge, in-depth understanding of hospitality and critical thinking (IQ); highly developed personal and intercultural skills (EQ) and resilience (AQ).

In addition to the very positive assessment by students, the assessment of experts was included in the research as well, including the evaluation of the NVAO, which was above-average.

The results of the Keuzegids HBO 2020 are a combination of components. Each study programme is assessed in student judgments (NSE), study success rates and expert judgments of the NVAO accreditation committee.

As the Board of Directors, we are extremely proud of this excellent result. We are especially pleased that both our students and experts appreciate our continuous efforts in quality improvements. This achievement was only possible thanks to the commitment of our entire community of students, staff, alumni and industry partners in creating hospitality futures together.

Regine von Stieglitz, President of the Board of Directors
