Michelin Guide Netherlands 2021

The Michelin star revelation is an important event for our community and industry. On 29 March 2021, the online ceremony was live broadcasted from the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam.

This edition was very special to us as one of our students, Ms. Frederique van Loo, was invited to speak on stage where he proudly announced that, with the support of the MICHELIN Guide and other partners, the HTH Practical And Theoretical Education (PATE) projects will be taken to the next level with the purchase of a new HTH food truck. This mobile food concept, fully run by HTH students, will be up and running after summer. Stay tuned for the first updates!

In addition, this edition included the very first Green Stars in the Netherlands to eight restaurants which showed a noteworthy commitment to sustainable dining. This star distinguishes chefs who particularly have a sustainable and inspiring approach towards gastronomy.

And finally, we would like to congratulate two of our HTH alumnus: Joris Beidendijk and Edgaras Razminas. Joris received a Michelin Star for his newest restaurant Wils, while in 2017 he received a Michelin star for his restaurant Rijks. Edgaras Razminas has been voted Sommelier of the Year 2021. We could not be prouder of our alumni community!
