QS World University Rankings presented their rankings by Subject 2019, revealing the best universities for 48 different academic subjects. Hotelschool The Hague is ranked number 6 out of 50 in the world in the category best Hospitality and Leisure Management Universities.

“It’s an honour to be top league in the world along with Cornell University, École hôtelière de Lausanne and Hong Kong Polytechnic. As the Board of Directors, we are extremely proud of this excellent result. This achievement was only possible as our entire community of students, staff, alumni and industry partners are committed to creating hospitality futures together.”

Ms Regine von Stieglitz, President Board of Directors

We are pleased to gain increasing strong international prominence. Hotelschool The Hague has been continually evolving into a top league international Hospitality Business School. We distinguish ourselves by the way in which we integrate theory, practice and research with a unique combination of development in three types of skills; considerable foundational knowledge, an in-depth understanding of hospitality and critical thinking skills (IQ), highly developed personal and intercultural skills (EQ) and resilience (AQ).

The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world’s top universities in individual subject areas, covering 48 subjects. Each of the subject rankings is compiled using four sources. The first two are QS’s global surveys of academics and employers, which are used to assess the institutions’ international reputation in each subject. The second two indicators assess research impact, based on research citations per paper and h-index in the relevant subject. These are sourced from Elsevier’s Scopus database, the world’s most comprehensive research citations database. These four components are combined to produce the results for each of the subject rankings, with weightings adapted for each discipline.
