You will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a challenging but friendly environment. Department

The Placement Office team is responsible for the organisation of the Practical and the Management internships. The Placement team recruits placements based on defined partnerships and guides the students through the preparation process of finding a suitable qualitative placement. The Placement team consists of a two Account Managers, four Placement Coordinators and two administrative Placement Officers.

General Function Description

  • Analyse and judge the placement offers from companies;
  • Approach placement companies and process placement requests (4* and 5* hotels and Michelin star restaurants for the practical placement and other hospitality related companies for the management placements) in a CRM system;
  • Visit companies, assess the quality of the internships offered, approach potential interesting partners;
  • Make sure the online database is well maintained for students to see which internships are available at which companies in the world. Based on several match criteria the students are able to make the right choices;
  • Point of contact for companies in case of calamities and complaints;
  • Organise the Career Fair twice a year, organise company visits and presentations, organise guest speakers, organise meeting with other Hotelschool educational institutes;
  • Develop long term account management plan by creating goals and make sure the link with the curriculum and minors offered within HTH have a good connection to the internships offered;
  • Identify areas of improvement in the connection with the (hospitality) industry.

Candidate profile

You have/are:

  • Networking skills and solid ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels of the industry;
  • Administrative, technical knowledge and understanding of the related organizational and functional relations;
  • Skills in the precision and accuracy of the administration;
  • Intercultural knowledge and skills;
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • A pro-active, hands-on approach and able to work independently.

Remuneration

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 8 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between €2.598,89 and 3.479,70 gross per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Additional information

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.

The work location for this position can be either our Campus in Amsterdam and/ or Campus The Hague.
