For our campus site in The Hague, Hotelschool The Hague is looking for a new enthusiastic, qualified and experienced colleague to strengthen our Faculty as Lecturer in Digital Marketing.

General Function Description

You are able to develop and teach courses that are closely linked to real-world hospitality management practice. You are a professional and motivating lecturer, encouraging both students and colleagues to achieve excellence.

You are an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute to the school’s success. You are both coach and lecturer, with a multidisciplinary approach to business problems. The curriculum at Hotelschool The Hague is delivered in a unique competency approach. Courses are integrated using modern methods of practical application and active learning including blended learning, business simulations and case studies, enhancing the students' understanding of each discipline as it is used in real world scenarios in small groups and class sizes.

Candidate Profile

You have/are:

  • A Master’s degree or willingness to obtain a Master’s degree;
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience; preferably in the field of Hospitality Marketing, Customer Experience or Digital Strategy
  • Familiar with the principles of (digital) marketing, customer journeys, business model canvas;
  • Analytical and conceptual skills and an excellent command of the English language (C2 level);
  • An inspiring team player for all Hotelschool The Hague students and faculty;
  • Able to work in a self-directing team;
  • A contemporary vision on higher education;
  • An active relationship with industry and other stakeholders in your knowledge area;
  • Empathic, Proactive, Creative and Hospitable
  • Excellent coaching skills;
  • A great affinity with higher education, and preferably teaching experience;
  • An enthusiastic approach to education with an emphasis on coaching students to deal with real-world professional assignments;
  • Excellent social skills, and ability to work independently;
  • A proactive attitude to problem-solving;
  • Insight into and knowledge of current affairs and developments in (hospitality) management;
  • Alignment to the vision, mission and strategy of Hotelschool The Hague;


Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 11 with a range between € 3.658,64 and € 5.026,85 depending on your professional experience and qualifications. The contract is for a 0,6 to 1,0 FTE position, initially for a year with an option for extension. We also welcome applicants who prefer to work as a freelance lecturer, if so, please specify this in your application.
