The hospitality sector attracts many romantics, people with a heart for pleasing their guests. Love for data, technology and ‘hard’ decision making is not omnipresent. However, the rise of the data-and technology- driven companies in the hospitality sector has increased the sense of urgency to compete and to level up to researched informed decision making skills.
Therefor, Hotelschool introduced Design Based Research and Evidence Based Decision Making in the curriculum which is used in the research projects students execute for their graduation. Further, A research Lab is in development, a course where students actively experiment in the outlets of Hotelschool The Hague.
