Arnoud van Delft
Arnoud started, after many years in operational hospitality, in 1980 at the Hotelschool The Hague as professor of Law. Five years later he was asked to set up a placement office, to serve the students better and to create a portfolio of international placements for all students. Also,he organised that every semester term, a dozen of international hotel chains came to the School to interview for the placements.
By now, he was teaching all classes in English which was a “first” for business schools in the Netherlands. Also a “first” was that, by the end of the nineties, 100% of practical trainees “went international”. In between he acted as first president for the new MEDEZEGGENSCHAPSRAAD.
In the new millenium ,he became involved with international recruitment, which brought a large number of European students to the School. Finally, Arnoud together with a few colleagues created the International Fast Track, which gave students with already a recognised diploma from elsewhere the possibility to obtain our degree after a shorter course. It developed into a major success for students ,School and industry.
After 37 years with the School, Arnoud is enjoying pension and is regularly in touch with a number of former students.
