Claridges hotel
With a rich history that extends back to 1812, Claridge's Hotel, a legendary embodiment of style and sophistication, is situated in the heart of Mayfair, London. It was a little inn when William and Marianne Claridge purchased it in 1854. They then turned it into a highly renowned hotel. By 1898, the hotel had been entirely restored by famous architect C.W. Stephens, who gave it the sumptuous design.
Celebrities and royal family members have long favored Claridge's as a retreat location. Prince Albert and Queen Victoria were two of its first well-known guests. The hotel has been home to European aristocracy ever since, earning the nickname "the annex to Buckingham Palace."
With their careful restoration and protection, The Claridges' art decorations provide a window into the wealth of the 1920s and 1930s. With its sweeping staircase and shimmering lighting, the hotel's famous grand foyer instantly transports visitors to a more opulent era.
