Nienke Badia
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration/Management at Hotelschool The Hague, where I developed a strong foundation in hospitality, operations, and management. This education provided me with the skills and insights to enter the fast-paced and customer-focused world of hospitality management. Additionally, I spent a year studying Hispanic Studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which broadened my cultural understanding and language skills.
In terms of my professional experience, I have over two decades of experience in hospitality sales and marketing. Currently, I am working as a Sales & Marketing Specialist at Hyatt Hotels in Amsterdam, where I have been for over two years. Additionally, I have the privilege of being part of Women@Hyatt EAME DBRG, where I contribute to initiatives that empower women in our industry. Prior to this, I served as the Director of Sales at Hotel Okura Amsterdam for nine years, overseeing international sales, managing key accounts, and leading a dynamic team.
Before joining Hotel Okura, I spent three years as the Regional Director of Sales at Apollo Hotels & Resorts, where I managed sales for several prestigious hotels, including the Wyndham Apollo Hotel Amsterdam and the Crowne Plaza The Hague. My early career included such roles as Director of Sales at Eden Babylon Hotel and Sales and Marketing Manager at InterContinental Hotels Group.
I am passionate about driving results, building lasting relationships, and using strategic marketing to enhance brand visibility and revenue. My career journey reflects my commitment to excellence in hospitality and my ability to lead teams, manage diverse projects, and foster customer satisfaction.
