Pieter Olierook
Pieter Olierook is a seasoned leader in the field of digital commerce, sales and general management, with a passion for building and developing talent and teams.
Pieter started his career in the Unilever Benelux organization as a Management Trainee in 2012, after graduating from Hotelschool The Hague in 2009 and the Master of Science Hospitality Management program of both Erasmus University & Hotelschool The Hague in 2010. He went on to hold multiple roles in Customer Development, ranging from Key Account Manager to Field Sales Manager Netherlands and Sales Director Ahold. Over this time, he delivered solid business results with a big focus on people, strategy and execution.
After this Pieter worked in the Digital Commerce, Digital Marketing and Media space and set up an entire new function (DMC) in Europe and the Middle East for Unilever’s Foods Business in 2021. Pieter is known for his coaching and mentoring skills, as well as his enthusiasm and dedication to his work. He has successfully built and shaped this high-performing DMC team, using agile methodologies and psychological safety interventions to drive innovation and growth. He has also brought the vision of being "First to Mind, First to Find, and First to Cart" to life, by creating a strong brand presence and relevance in the digital space.
Currently Pieter has started a new big challenge by leading the separation of Unilever’s Ice Cream business as the General Manager for Ice Cream Benelux and Global VP Digital Commerce Ice cream driving global digital transformation.
