Department

The HR department is the department of Hotelschool The Hague that offers HR support. With us, you will work in an ambitious, driven, friendly, and informal environment, and you will work with a diverse team of HR professionals. You will work closely with the other HR administrator and the HR coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join an international organization. The HR department is currently professionalizing and digitizing the majority of HR processes through the implementation of a new HR system Hr2Day.

As an HR administrator, you will mostly work on campus in The Hague but must be willing and to work on our campus in Amsterdam when required.

General Function Description

The HR Administrator/Payroll specialist handles all requests and questions which are asked or sent to the HR Servicedesk. The tasks are related to HR administration/payroll and vary daily. It can be organizing the input of data for the start of internal processes for a new employee, a function change or an employee leaving or an employee going with retirement. Arranging maternity leave requests with UWV, a request with our expat company for a 30% ruling or answering questions about salary statements, salary mutations, pension, calculations of Transitievergoeding, etc..

Next to that, the HR administrator supports the payroll process. Our payroll is outsourced but the HR administrator informs our supplier about mutations and adjustments needed and checks the adjustments made before payroll goes out. As we work in the flexible world of education there are many mutations monthly.

Currently we are still within the implementation phase of digitising the HR processes. This means that the HR administrator will operationally be involved in input of data in systems for processes. After the implementation the HR Administrator’s focus will move towards checking of data (as from October) and advising the organisation on improvements for processes for example when there are changes in the labour agreement.

Candidate profile

Comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment. You are passionately working with numbers, interpreting data and applying laws and regulations, monitoring the quality and overview of the (payroll) administration, coordinating the compilation of management information, and improving the set-ups of the (payroll) administration, including processes.

You have/are:

  • Experience working in an HR administrator/payroll specialist position preferably within an international Environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRM systems
  • Able to work in both in written and spoken Dutch and English
  • Well organized, reliable and service-focused
  • A team player with a flexible, collaborative, and a can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently while being part of a team;
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving;

Remuneration

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 7 of the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between €2.411,30 and €3.264,65 gross, depending on your professional experience and qualifications. This is a permanent position.
