You will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a challenging but friendly environment. Our recruitment department is responsible for recruiting (international) top candidates for the Bachelor Degree Programme of Hotelschool The Hague and Fast Track programme, leading processes and supporting the organization towards professional sales and relationship management. The Recruitment Department is part of the cluster Alumni & Industry Relations. We are currently expanding our international student recruitment team, and we offer a challenging position for creative recruitment professionals.

As International Student Recruiter, You will work in an inspiring and diverse team of international professionals and align with the Marketing & Communications, Industry and Alumni and Admissions departments of Hotelschool The Hague. You will report directly to the lead of the Recruitment Department, and your main activities will take place in The Hague with regular overseas travel. Where necessary you will also be required to commute to the Amsterdam campus.

General Function Description

  • Represent Hotelschool The Hague at various events abroad in your designated market/region, which will be decided mutually between the candidate and team through the interview process;
  • Design and develop innovative student recruitment initiatives with support from the wider team and Recruitment Team Lead
  • Develop and manage national and international relations (candidates, students, alumni, and other external stakeholders including schools and educational agents);
  • Contribute to the sales and recruitment annual plan through regular reporting;
  • Contribute to the development of new methods and products for recruitment;
  • Contribute to various (online) channels to promote Hotelschool The Hague;
  • Support the Selection process.
  • Be willing to work irregular hours including outside of 9-5 and weekends

Candidate profile

You have/are:

  • Good social and communication skills;
  • You are in possession of a bachelor's degree;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in sales and/or recruitment in a customer service environment, preferably higher education
  • You have knowledge of internal and external sales tasks and processes;
  • Strong affinity with and understanding of the hospitality and education industry;
  • Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to build relationships with prospective and existing customers;
  • You are an excellent English communicator, both spoken and written. A second language would be an advantage, preferably French;
  • Willing and able to frequently travel internationally and where needed within the Netherlands;
  • In possession of a driver's license.


Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 8 or 9 of the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between €2.756,90 and €4.158,87 gross per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Additional information

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.

The work location for this position is in The Hague, but you are willing to work at our school campus in Amsterdam when needed.
