This course explores the need for transformation in the hotel sector, focusing on redesigning business models, adapting to technological change, and improving operational efficiencies. It builds on concepts introduced in previous blocks, such as Culture & Innovation and Circular Thinking, to provide practical strategies for driving change in the hospitality industry.
Guest Experience in the Hotel Industry (5 EC)
The course focuses on enhancing guest experiences by combining technology with personalised service. It explores how data-driven insights and a guest-centric approach can drive engagement and loyalty, ensuring hotels stay competitive in a digital-first environment. Students learn to balance high-tech innovations with high-touch service to create valuable, memorable guest experiences.
Writing your thesis (2 EC)
The course focuses on refining research presentation and reporting skills. The key deliverable is the research proposal, which serves as the foundation for the final thesis in the graduation course. This course helps students develop a comprehensive, evidence-based project, providing them with the opportunity to further enhance and solidify their research.
Design-Oriented Research (Part 3 of 3) (1 EC)
This course culminates the research methodology throughout the programme. In conjunction with Writing Your Thesis, students refine their thesis proposal and research questions, applying insights gained from previous modules to develop a focused research approach.
Personal Leadership (Part 3 of 3) (1 EC)
In the final part of the course, students continue their journey with their industry mentor, reflecting on lessons learned and approaches for completing the program. The focus shifts to preparing for future career success and ensuring 'future readiness' after graduation.
