AR/VR in Education and Training
In the context of high turnover in the hospitality industry, immersive technologies hold promise for enhancing job readiness and performance of new employees. This research line aims to investigate the impact of AR/VR on hospitality training and education.
Learning how to Learn
Against the backdrop of ubiquitous AI and widespread technological advancement, employees and learners will need to reskill fast and flexibly in light of sudden labour market changes in technological times. Praneschen conducts research on learning how to learn and self-directed learning as a future skill for continuous reskilling.
AI in Education
AI is a powerful tool for revolutionising education, particularly through the use of AI tutors and coaches for answering students question on demand, serving as a sparring partner and providing access to information in an efficient and customised way. Praneschen conducts research on the use of AI tutors in education in both 2D and 3D forms.
“It is inevitable that immersive technologies together with AI will have a revolutionary impact on education and training in the near future. Through continuous development of prototypes and testing within a design-based research process, I hope to contribute to the practice of applying augmented and virtual reality for enhancing hospitality education and training.”
