Paulien Herder
Herder is serving as a member of Hotelschool The Hague’s Board of Trustees as well as member of the Education and Research Committee.

Herder is Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Delft University of Technology and full professor in Engineering systems design in energy & industry. During her career she has initiated and led various multidisciplinary research consortia. Herder was Director of Education at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management from 2004-2008, as well as chair of the Delft Energy Initiative from 2013-2020. Herder was Board member of the Dutch national science foundation’s domain for Applied and Engineering Sciences (NWO-TTW). Herder is member of the TopTeam Energy, as Captain of Science, where she is responsible for connecting knowledge institutes to the innovation process to accelerate the energy transition.

I anticipate exciting times in close collaboration with the board, staff, students and my fellow board members.’
