Our Bachelor Fast Track programme is the perfect choice for people wanting to take their careers to the next level. If you have a previous qualification in hospitality-related studies and you have done an internship at a 3, 4, or 5 stars hotel or in a Michelin star(s) restaurant, then you may qualify for our programme! It’s an accelerated version of our BA Hospitality Management programme lasting approximately 2.5 years that will allow you to build on your experience and management skills.

This accelerated programme kicks off with an intensive four-week Preparation Course that takes place during the summer. You then move on to the second year of the regular bachelor’s programme. After successfully completing years two, three and four, you’ll graduate with an internationally recognised ‘Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management’ (BA.HM).

Admission requirements

Dutch applicants

We welcome applicants to our Fast Track Bachelor programme who have completed an MBO Horeca Ondernemer/Manager and received a final grade of 7 or higher in English, Entrepreneurial skills, Leadership skills and Numerical ability.

International applicants

We welcome international applicants to our Fast Track Bachelor programme who have a secondary school diploma that qualifies them to attend a university (or German Fachhochschule) in their own country, plus a diploma from a hospitality programme where they studied full-time for at least two years.

If you meet the admissions requirements, you may be invited to take part in the Preparation Course that takes place in the summer. After successful completion of the course, you will be admitted to the Fast Track Programme and you’ll then continue with the bachelor’s programme in September.

English levels

Both Dutch and International applicants must be proficient enough for higher education studies. Official English language exam scores are required for all non-native speakers – or those who haven’t spent the last two years in full-time English education. Please note that the Oxford English test administrated during Selection Day does not replace the official English Language requirement. An additional test (e.g TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS) is still required.

Our graduates are highly sought after, both in the hospitality and international business community thanks to the skills that they develop while studying at our programmes. Our graduates go on to managerial positions in four- and five-star hospitality establishments around the world. Moreover, they’re well prepared to take on key roles in other areas of business, including consultancy, finance and project management. Tuition fees

As Hotelschool The Hague is a state-funded school, the costs for our bachelor’s programme are significantly lower than other renowned private hotel schools.

Hotelschool The Hague is part of a programme called ‘Ruim baan voor talent’ (Make way for talent), initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture & Science. It gives certain universities of applied sciences, including ours, the scope to charge higher tuition fees on the grounds of demonstrable added value for students. Our added value lies in the following areas:

Scholarships and financial aid

Holland Scholarship

The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is intended for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor's or master's in the Netherlands. EEA refers to EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Nationals of Switzerland and Suriname are not eligible for this scholarship programme either.

Arnoud van Delft Scholarship

This scholarship is dedicated to Arnoud van Delft , founder of the Fast Track programme. The Arnoud van Delft scholarship is offered to the best Fast-track talent and is awarded annually. The selected Fast Track student will receive credit for the costs of the Summer Course, which amount to €2,900.

Frequently asked questions

How can I apply for the Fast Track Programme and when?

As of 1 October 2024 you are more than welcome to apply for our Fast-track programme via our online application system. The application deadline is 1 May 2025.

Can I apply for Hotelschool The Hague while I’m abroad?

Yes, you can. If you do not have the possibility to come to one of our selection days in the Netherlands, you are more than welcome to come to one of our selection days abroad.

Do Fast-track students also stay at the Skotel during the first year?

The Fast Track programme starts with a 4-week Preparation course that starts every July. During these 4 weeks, you live in the Skotel. After the Preparation course, you continue with part of Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 of the regular Bachelor Programme. During this period, you arrange housing for yourself.
