1. Is a pre-master required?
No pre-master or GMAT test is required for admission to our Master in Leading Hotel Transformation. Entry requirements include:
● An NVAO-accredited bachelor's degree in hotel management, hospitality, or a related field.
● A minimum of 12 months relevant work experience in the service industry.
● Proficiency in English at a C1 level, both written and oral.
Additionally, applicants are evaluated on IQ (research and analytical skills), EQ (emotional intelligence and people skills), and AQ (adversity quotient), which assesses resilience and adaptability.
2. What to expect from a selection interview?
After submitting your application, you’ll be invited for a selection interview with the programme coordinator and will write a 450-word essay on one of the topics that reflect the programme’s core themes. This process helps us assess your fit for a career in hospitality management.
Note: Graduates from an NVAO-accredited bachelor’s in hotel management or related fields may be exempt from the essay requirement.
3. Is knowledge of Dutch required?
As an international hospitality business school, Hotelschool The Hague boasts a diverse community from over 50 countries. 4. Where is the campus located?
The Leading Hotel Transformation programme is based at our Amsterdam campus, near Rembrandtpark. Accessible by bike, tram, or foot, the campus is ideally located for both study and leisure. Reflecting our hands-on approach, one-third of the classes are held at external hotel locations in Amsterdam, providing students real-world experience and interaction with industry professionals.
5. Is there a thesis?
The Master's programme is structured into four blocks, covering everything from digital trends in hospitality management to innovative corporate ecosystems within existing hotels. The final block culminates in a thesis addressing a practical or theoretical problem, which you will defend before programme leaders and industry professionals. This comprehensive approach ensures you are well-prepared to lead transformations in the hotel management industry.
