Welcome to STREATS, Hotelschool The Hague's newest addition to its food concepts! STREATS is the brand-new food truck of HTH that will travel the streets of The Netherlands with rescued food and large ambitions.

STREATS is the playground for our students who will be challenged to discover their innovative and creative side. How? By coming up with new food concepts and menus, and hosting events where these skills will be put into practice. The majority of the dishes served is plant-based, with locally grown ingredients, while the menus are developed by our students based on leftover food.

The food truck offers students the opportunity to gain operational experience during their education. Apart from learning how to manage a team, they will also learn how to prepare food for large groups or run a food truck, always with the United Nations’ SDGs in mind.

What's the motto of STREATS? #itfeelsgoodtodogood! This is why our food truck travels to different locations around the country to support various projects. In collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam, you may come across STREATS outside an elderly home, or visiting a local farmers’ food festival.

Next to the support of our beloved partners, the students will participate in commercial events as well to finance the aforementioned social events. Afterwards, the revenue generated will be used to fund charitable events.
