“Very inspirational to be part of this jury and to learn about initiatives of hotels that go beyond the practices to decreasing negative impacts. Going the extra mile and showcasing the integration of sustainable themes and increasing resilience by making positive impacts on for instance local staff and their communities. A nice example of this is a program for resort staff who also farm their land, to do this in a more sustainable & organic matter to create more value (and income) and quality production. Those produces can be used in the resort hotel as the highest quality local produce in the kitchens”.
