A QS 5-Star rating: built by our entire community

2 min read

Hotelschool The Hague has been awarded a QS 5-Star rating, adding to a quality record built by an entire community. Assessed across teaching, employability, facilities, academic development, and internationalisation, the rating joins two other significant markers: a #7 position in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 for Hospitality and Leisure Management and #1 in the Netherlands.

Together, these recognitions reflect an institution that is evaluated from multiple angles and holds up across all of them. HTH is not only ranked among the best hospitality schools in the world, it meets the standards that formal accreditation bodies and independent rating systems use to define quality in higher education.

What the QS 5-Star rating measures

Unlike the QS World University Rankings, which assess institutional reputation and research impact, QS Stars looks at the full experience of studying at an institution. Teaching quality, the strength of facilities, graduate employability, and international reach are all evaluated. For a specialist school like HTH, employability and internationalisation carry particular weight. Our graduates enter a global industry, and the networks and experience they build here travel with them.

A result built by a community

Rankings and ratings are outcomes, not goals. What they reflect is the day-to-day work of staff, students, alumni, and industry partners who together make HTH what it is. The #7 world ranking that HTH achieved earlier this year was built on Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation scores of 80.4 and 85.4 out of 100 respectively. Those numbers represent real relationships, real teaching, and real careers.

"This QS 5-Star rating is the result of everything our community brings to HTH every single day. Our staff, lecturers, instructors, researchers, students, alumni, and industry partners who believe in what we are building here. Rankings and accreditations are external confirmation of something we already know from the inside: that this is a place where quality is not a target but a habit and strong conviction. I am incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to this across our two campuses.''
