Keuzegids 2026: Hotelschool The Hague ranked as best public Hospitality Management School in the Netherlands
We are proud to announce that in the newly published Keuzegids HBO 2026, Hotelschool The Hague has once again been ranked as best public institution offering a hospitality management bachelor programme.
Both of our campuses achieved excellent results, with The Hague campus scoring 85/100 and Amsterdam campus 84/100. As a result, Hotelschool The Hague holds the number one and number two positions nationwide. This exceptional recognition marks the twelfth consecutive year we have achieved this distinction.

Top rated programme quality seal
Thanks to these results, we have once again earned the prestigious “Top Rated Programme” quality seal, awarded to programmes scoring over 75 points in the Keuzegids. Both campuses received this recognition, underlining the consistent quality and strength of our programmes.
"I am proud of these outstanding results. That both campuses are rated so highly by our students is an incredible compliment to all colleagues. These results would not be possible without their dedication and commitment, and of course the efforts of our students. The insights from the National Student Survey (NSE) help us to keep improving, ensuring our education remains top-notch for future hospitality leaders.
At its heart, hospitality is about meeting and discovering. We connect people with different countries, cultures, and cuisines. Especially in times of polarisation, this spirit of connection is a powerful response. Our students experience this every day, both inside and outside the classroom."
Jos Vranken, President of the Board of Directors.
"What I value most about studying at Hotelschool The Hague is the balance between practical and theoretical education. With two internships and hands-on learning, we gain first-hand industry experience that prepares us for our future careers. The curriculum is complemented by extra-curricular activities, and the strong alumni network provides valuable connections across a wide range of industries."
Bouke van de Wart, third year student at HTH
Study Success and Student Support
Hotelschool The Hague scored the maximum (++) on key success indicators; including the low dropout rate after the first year and the high percentage of students graduating within five years. This reflects the strong foundation and consistent guidance our students receive throughout their studies. Student support also showed a strong improvement in the NSE results compared to last year: students particularly value counselling, academic advice, and the introduction of dedicated Study Coaches who provide personalised guidance throughout the study journey.
Strong connection to professional practice and careers
Students also praised the link between their studies and professional practice, with Hotelschool The Hague scoring far above the national benchmark. Our close ties to the Dutch and international hospitality industry ensure that our programmes are fully aligned with industry needs. We work with leading organisations to address today’s and tomorrow’s complex challenges, while contributing to a more sustainable and thriving future for the industry. Students develop relevant skills and are well prepared for their careers. This hands-on approach enriches the curriculum and challenges students to think critically, innovate, and apply their learning in real-world contexts.
