Collaboration with RSM, ABS, and Nyenrode Business University for direct access to MSc master's programmes
HTH students now also offered direct access to MSc master's programmes at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and Nyenrode Business University.
The pre-master programme enables Hospitality Management bachelor students at Hotelschool The Hague to easily transfer to various master's programmes at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), Amsterdam Business School (ABS) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Nyenrode Business University.
The collaboration with the three universities means that following successful completion of their 4-year bachelor degree, students have the opportunity to obtain a research master's degree in one year, saving them a gap year, which is a financially more interesting option.
Best of both worlds
During the pre-master programme, students develop academic writing skills and gain the required research skills. Thanks to the direct line to the business community, the programme also includes a traineeship and a business case. Hotelschool The Hague offers students an academic challenge, following which students can proceed directly to a master's programme of their choice, such as an MSc in Global Business & Sustainability, MSc in Human Resource Management, MSc in Management of Innovation or an MSc in Marketing Management. The Hotelschool The Hague website explains which tracks offer direct access to hotel school students.
Excellent performance
Just last semester, Hotelschool The Hague introduced the new pre-master's programme in collaboration with the Amsterdam Business School. The Amsterdam Business School is impressed with the quality of HTH graduates who enrol in their pre-master's programme MSc Business Administration. A third of Hotel School students currently choose to continue their studies with a master's degree, resulting in similar collaborations initiated by Hotelschool The Hague, with Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) Nyenrode Business University.
Arend Hardorff, Dean and member of the Executive Board of Hotelschool The Hague: “Hotelschool The Hague is extremely pleased with this great collaboration. This is a prime example of how we offer our ambitious students a versatile education and a wonderful foundation for their future careers. Combining an applied bachelor degree and an academic master gives graduates a unique profile with good prospects on the labour market.”
The expansion to the various master's programmes of Erasmus University (RSM) and Nyenrode Business University is an excellent opportunity for Hotelschool The Hague students to accelerate an academic continuation of their bachelor's programme.
