Another successful career fair was held on Amsterdam campus

It’s a wrap! Another edition of HTH’s career fair was successfully held in Amsterdam on Thursday 23 March by the industry relations team in collaboration with the placement office.

About career fair

Since 2002, Hotelschool The Hague has been organising the career fair on campus. The career fair is an event that takes place every March and October, alternating between our Amsterdam and The Hague campus. During the career fair, industry representatives join our students on campus for one day, offering them the chance to research companies of their interest, network and meet hospitality professionals. Furthermore, the career fair is the perfect opportunity for our students to gain industry insights from hospitality leaders, explore top placement options and research assignments that can possibly launch their career.

Internships at Hotelschool The Hague

Our bachelor’s programme gives students the opportunity to gain valuable experience abroad through two different internships. In Year 2, students complete an internship at at operational level in full service hotel or in a Michelin star restaurant (within a hotel). Their second internship takes place at the end of students’ Bachelor. It is named LYCar - Launching Your Career – and offers the chance to work on an internship, a company research project, or a combination of both.

These internships are a golden opportunity for our students to broaden their horizons, immerse themselves in a different culture, gain a real insight into the hospitality industry, and develop their professional attitude while connecting with great (hospitality) professionals.

This year’s edition

From hotel and hospitality companies like Marriott, Rosewood, Hilton, KLM and Booking to corporates such as EY, Crisp, NN Group, RAI Amsterdam and more, the career fair presents a great variety of participants our students can choose from for their next professional opportunity. During the fair, they had the chance to browse through stands and meet employers from all over the globe, but also schedule one-to-one interviews.

The March 2023 event in numbers:

• More than 50 industry partners were present on campus
• Around 350 students joined the event
• Over 250 "Meet & Greets" of LYCar or practical placement students were planned with Industry representatives
